The Challenge & Critical Business Issue
Event: 24th International Pig Veterinary Society Congress and 8th European Symposium of Porcine Health Management
Client: MCI Ireland & PD Visual
155 speakers, 175 presentations, International Speakers, English not native language for many. Look after the presenters. Move them and the delegates around the building with a digital signage solution. Make the presentation content available for playback after the event.
Capabilities we provided
Speaker Ready Room
We provided a speaker ready room with one greeter, two experienced powerpoint technicians, production manager and a technical director.
Greet, make them comfortable, go though their presentations and videos with them, make changes, correct technical issues, send them on their way with a smile.
Directing them to the room where they would be speaking and introducing them to the technician on duty who would have the up to date presentation in the correct order by the time the speaker got there!
Digital Signage
A dynamic digital signage solution showed delegates what was on now and next in each venue and timed changes for coffee and after hours including emergency exit direction. We designed and implemented a cloud based digital signage system around the building with a social media ticker feeds and up to date information.
Video Recording & Archiving
A post event microsite embedded in the main event website with every video presentation and slides on demand to the paid member level delegates.
DAM (Digital Asset Management)
A BitTorrent technology based system for realtime data sync across several rooms using in-house Lan was also implemented on site to push all the presentation content across the many rooms without relying on cloud or manual copy methods.
Main Event Opening Video
We also produced the main screen opening animations and stings for the event.
Result
Speakers left the ready room smiling, treated with respect and confident that their presentations were correct and in proper English for non native speakers. Presentations looked exactly as they expected it on the (giant) screens across four venues in the RDS.
After the event, the paid members were provided a comprehensive, fast displaying library of all the slides and presentations of the whole event. Weebox edited the videos to mix in the slides and also provided technical support ot users post-event.
